Small Updates
Small Update
The fact is that the time I'm spending on MineCraft is not worth the returns.
I have to remake the Ambrosia map. Overhaul to update devices and ideas.

Update 16-11-12
I'm still working on the new location for my new base, however I'm finding it hard to get everything I need without having to go resource collecting. The river I'm filling in is taking up all of my dirt and sand blocks. In other news, I'm back to map making. With the help of Khare's Noclip, I can work on Ambrosia again. Also, I have to say that the latest updates of MineCraft has had a real significant change on the mechanisms in the map. In the meanwhile, I'll be working on a little side project.

Ambrosia Update 03-07-12
The construction of the main areas is nearing completion. I can now see the entire path of which the player(s) will take. However, it is still an empty shell and must be filled with loot, mobs, decor, and puzzles. I've been working on the map for about fourteen straight days. Meaning, all the hours would add up to fourteen days.
I've done the math and it seems I've included over one thousand accessible rooms, and only two hundred of them have been filled and completed. I never thought it would be that much when I first started this.

Thank You VoxelBox! (Small Update)
I started using Voxel Sniper and it has been a useful and fun tool. It was the first time I actually made a multi-player server or used plugins. The only reason I made it so I can use Voxel Sniper. I suppose I could have used it when making the Nether portion of the map but it'll take too much time.
In other news, I'm graduating from high school. So, I'll have more time with this. I have worked on this map for about 250 hours and I'm not exactly close to finishing it. The reason why I thought I'll be done earlier is because of the time involved making this.
As the time passed and this map became more of my routine, some parts became more of a chore and the attention to the project withered. I hope you understand.

Something and Something Else.
Progressing on Ambrosia, I've calculated that I've spent a little under 200 hours on this now. Probably more since I've done a lot off the actual map, such as story and MCediting. I've also gave a lot of time designing redstone devices like this one, even though it is only one puzzle.
I'm 75% complete now, I'm sure I'll release it before the one year mark.

Day One: Double Creepered
I started a new world today, starting in a mountainous area. I'm currently building a home near the river. I feel kind of awkward playing survival after a long break. But, now I'm going to start my survival projects. However, I feel my map making is taking the time I could be playing survival.
Anyway, I was exploring a cave system and I was killing some mobs. When I finished killing a creeper I continued with my mining, turned around and I was double Creepered. What a way to go as a first death.

Automatic TnT Cannon: Large Clip
This is what I was working on the past few days, an automatic TnT cannon. The cannon itself is relatively small compared to the redstone below. This cannon is actually quite complex so listen.
The whole cannon works on a forty-eight tick redstone repeater clock, which means it takes eight seconds per cycle. The pistons loading the TnT as the propellant inserts them two at a time, or cycle. This cannon is designed so that after four TnT is inserted as the propellant, it'll ignite. Which means this cannon fires every sixteen seconds. Four TnT launching one TnT.
The picture above is the counter. It is used to move the sand when the time is right. The picture below shows the ammo used. Each row has ten TnT and when the piston is finished pushing the row, the counter will send a signal to push over the next row of TnT to be loaded.
This is the mechanism used to store and push the propellant. Cobblestone from a generator is used to help push the TnT along.A vertical piston is used for pushing the ammo and the propellant along, they both use a redstone clock to time the cobblestone generation.

Ambrosia Update 05-03-12
The 1.2 update has reduced all of my redstone in the lighting system to this...
One positive is that you'll now be able to do this with the ceiling lights.

Ambrosia Update 01-03-12
Why are there bones in the world of the dead?
I'm building Ambrosia in the order of the story. And so, I can say I'm more than 70% through the main story. There is an option to just steam through all the side quests, but I don't recommend it for those who truly wants to be submerged in the experience.
To find out what the picture means, you just have to play the map.

Ambrosia Update 11-02-12 The Slaughter!
It seems the animals appearing in the Nether was the result of the new passive mob spawning rules. It applies to the Nether also. And so, because of this fact I had to make a glass layer on the highest layer of the Nether to prevent anymore animals from spawning.
I don't have single player commands to kill them all and I can't kill them in McEdit...
I'm going hunting for a while...

Ambrosia Problems with Piston Bug
This is the mechanism for a quest. The idea is that the double slab from the floor would be retracted and be replaced by a cobblestone one level lower. However, the next step is for the player to place a lever and turn it to give power to the redstone wiring. The sticky piston will do it's glitch where it rapid pulses and the cobblestone will detach from the piston. It pops the lever off and doesn't even give a signal to the redstone.
I know, this glitch has been here for a long time. But, this is the first time it's affecting me. It's not a real bother to normal players, but it's something small I feel should be fixed. It would take the stress off me, I rather not redo the whole thing I built.
At the end of this I feel there will be a lot of things just sitting there, unused.

Ambrosia Update 16-01-12 Base Camp
The first thing you see when entering the Nether, an aerial view.
Well, the terrain is done but I didn't use the sand method. It was taking too much time so I said "F THIS" and MCedited a large chunk of MineCraft terrain to the Nether. It's mostly dirt.
You may find this place altered in the final product.

Ambrosia Update 11-01-12 Falling Sand
Now that I think about it, the Nether bit of the map could be a little too lengthy. I'll see how things turn out.

MCedited
I created new chunks and this happened. All of the chunks beyond those naturally formed has a light level of 15. Also any block I place has a light level of 15.
If anyone has a solution to this error, please tell me.

Trucking Along
The reason for my slow progress in my single player is because I'm waiting on some new content. I really want new content, the game is getting old if you play it over and over.
In the meantime, I've made some real progress with Ambrosia. Look.

Slowly
Nothing to report. I've been pelted by a lot of school work and life.
Things won't be fun if I feel obligated to get stuff done rather than me doing it because I want to. A new structure in Ambrosia. Yay.

Day Five Update 26-11-11 Digging
I've been doing a lot of mining and I found a huge system with an abandoned mine shaft.
Unfortunately, I died and lost all these goodies.

Day Three Update 23-11-11 No Diamonds?
This is the third day of work in my new world and I've found a total of ZERO diamonds! It is reasonable since I only went mining for about an hour so far, not even to the deep layers.
I also haven't explored much, so I have not idea of the other areas around me. I finished my house and wheat farm.
I have a temporary tree farm with eleven trees. I could plant more, but I don't need that many yet.
In other news, I created a test world to test my inventions for my adventure map. The biggest problem I face is creeper explosions. I'll need to add a layer of obsidian so the floor won't leave a hole. As long as a stone wall is shielding the redstone wiring, they'll be alright.

Day One Update 19-11-11 I Hate Creepers
Creeper explosion number one and two!
Today I've started a new world called "New Worlded". I've done a lot today. Time to hit the hay.
