Small Updates

Small Update
The fact is that the time I'm spending on MineCraft is not worth the returns.
I have to remake the Ambrosia map. Overhaul to update devices and ideas.

The Days Gone By

I'm back. The reason for my disappearance is because of college stuff, basically adapting to the environment. I'm having a tough time with it, I need to get my grades up. Don't expect regular updates, I haven't been on for a while.

I have to remake everything, Ambrosia and my single player.

Update 16-11-12

I'm still working on the new location for my new base, however I'm finding it hard to get everything I need without having to go resource collecting. The river I'm filling in is taking up all of my dirt and sand blocks. In other news, I'm back to map making. With the help of Khare's Noclip, I can work on Ambrosia again. Also, I have to say that the latest updates of MineCraft has had a real significant change on the mechanisms in the map. In the meanwhile, I'll be working on a little side project.

Day Fifty-three Ugh

I'v been working hard in college, so I'm afraid I didn't do much. Well, I did which resulted in not much. I'm currently filling in a river so I'll have a flat surface to build my base on. That's pretty much it. The placement of my base is very important because it'll decide the orientation of the city. I send a lot of time figuring the place I want to build. In other news, I finally built a nether portal to the city, making my rail useless. I'll clean it up later.

Day Fifty No More Mining

I made a iron golem farm. It's the same one shown in docm77's video. Every time I'm in the area, the chance of spawning an iron golem resumes. Assuming that I'm always in there area, this one cell gives in roughly a stack of iron ingots a hour. Coupled with the trading with the villagers, I don't think I need to mine anymore.

Day Forty Four Marking My Claim

Nothing really happening especially with me sick for four days. I've added another floor to the endermen farm, it's really faster than the blaze farm. Besides that, I've been caving a lot, lighting a lot of underground within the city's boundaries. I've also spent many blocks of iron on rails connecting my base to my building spot in the city, it runs underground and it's suppose to be temporary until a real rail system is made. I don't intend to use Nether portals much. I need to make an iron golem farm.

Day Thirty-eight College is easy compared to this

I'm sorry for skipping last week's update. I've just been busy. I have been playing the times I can. But, after all this time of building up my production, I'm ready to start building the city.
I'm going to need a lot of TnT to blow away large hills. I'm not thinking of making the land completely linear. I want some variation so I'm going to leave the flat lands alone.
While exploring the area of interest for the placement of the city. I've got distracted a lot. I've decided to use a map maker to make a isometric map of my world and indicate the land with least amount of water. I'll post a picture of my world later.
 I'm organizing my stuff.
After hours of manually laying cobblestone, I've finally looped the circle of the layout of the wall of the city. The circular wall has a 1001 diameter. When I reached the other end of the circle, I wasn't accurate enough to have the two ends meet.
Meh.

Day Thirty-three Dying a lot is a bad thing

It is time to fight the enderdragon! However, dying repeatedly was not part of the plan.
I had to watch the sky constantly for the dragon, and when I died the first time from an enderman, I lost all my stuff and I was naked. Well, my good armor was gone. I had little protection on when fighting it, so I died a lot. Fortunately, I was able to get my stuff back a few times.
Well, dying got to a point where I had to dig a tunnel from my base to the portal to save time. Well, once I dug it I didn't really need it for the fight. The orbs that were high was particularly annoying.
I didn't think it went as smoothly as I intended.
I got a silk touch pick and a fortune III pick, so I went caving with the silk touch and came home to use fortune III on the ores. I won't be worrying about coal for a while.
My villagers are breeding like crazy. It seems my mega spawner is working.
It is time to upgrade to an endermen farm. It'll provide better rates and a bit more exp.
Each level of this farm has 44 spawning space, which is a lot considering we are anyway from the main island in The End. Each floor has the next floor as a two high ceiling so the enderman can't spawn there and it serves as a guide for the enderman to fall down within the area. There is a layer of vines on the 44th level so no matter how high they fall, I'll be able to one-shot them.
I decided I'm building one part cobble and the other snow. I've always liked the cobble-snow design.
Here's what it looks like.
So far, I've only have three floors completed and the spawn and experience rates practically match the blaze farm. It's worth it, considering I fell off three times making this so far.
